Ed Kamiyama - Boys' Team Head Coach

Ed was born in Los Angeles and graduated from Huntington Park High School. He went on to earn a degree from Long Beach State College.

Ed has coached youth teams since 1969. He started his high school coaching career in 1980 at Bell High School, coaching basketball and softball. In 1994 he transferred to Jordan High School where he was the Boys' Varsity Basketball Coach until 1997 and also became Athletic Director.

Ed has enjoyed coaching his own children as well as having the opportunity to teach other kids about basketball. Ed is married to Sue and they have two sons, Darin and Stephen, and a daughter, Lauren.

Ramsey Miura - Boys' Team Assistant Coach

Ramsey was born and raised in Venice, Ca. He graduated from Venice High School. He attended and played basketball at West Los Angeles Community College. After earning his AA Degree, he transferred to California State University, Dominguez Hills where he earned his BA Degree in Physical Education, with a minor in Biology.

He returned to West Los Angeles Community College where he was First Assistant Coach for four years. He then went to El Segundo High School to be the Freshman and JV Basketball Coach. This past year he was the Freshman/Sophomore Basketball Coach at Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies where he is also a Physical Education teacher. He was also an assistant coach for the Sansei Basketball Team that went to Japan in 1996.

Sharon Wada - Girls' Team Head Coach

Sharon was raised in La Mirada in Orange County. She attended La Mirada High School and participated in varsity volleyball, basketball and track for four years. She was an All-League performer each of her fours in basketball. She continued her education at Occidental College where she earned All-League honors in basketball. She graduated with a degree from the Education Department and returned to La Mirada High School as the Girls' Varsity Basketball Coach. He team won the league championship in her final year there.

Sharon currently teaches a 3rd/4th grade GATE class in Anaheim and coaches the schools 6th grade boys' team. Sharon still enjoys playing basketball as a member of the Imperials.

Debbie Minabe - Girls' Team Assistant Coach

Debbie was raised and continues to live in Los Angeles. She graduated from Dorsey High School and went on to earn her BS Degree in Marketing from California State University, Los Angeles. She currently works for the Independent Colleges of Southern California as their Business Manager.

Debbie plays basketball on the Imperials Club Gold in the SCWAU AA Division. She also enjoys skiing and mountain bike riding.
